Superintendent's Message

Jeremy Pequignot, Superintendent

Franklin Monroe Families,

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year. The staff at Franklin Monroe is very excited to welcome back students, parents, and community members to an exciting new school year. Everyone has been working diligently to prepare for what promises to be a unique year, and we are looking forward to all of the great things this year has in store for us. Hopefully, everyone had a relaxing summer break and was able to spend some time with friends and family.

As we begin this school year we welcome new staff members Sarah Bookman, high school math; David Gilpin, custodian; and Rhonda Kuhbander, paraprofessional.

Entering my fourth year in the district, I continue to be impressed with the accomplishments of our students, the ongoing support of our families, and the level of support received through community partnerships. We greatly appreciate the many donations of time, funding, and materials received from both individuals and organizations. It truly takes a community to provide all the many opportunities students need to be successful, and the Franklin Monroe and Darke County communities have much to be proud of regarding their continued efforts in this area.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to me at your convenience.  My contact information is as follows: phone - 937-947-1212, email

We look forward to working with each of you this school year. Go Jets!
